Condolences to the Family of Yvonne Lucas

April 19, 2022

To Family of Sister YVONNE LUCAS:

We the Pastor, Ministers, Officers, and Members of the Nazarene Baptist Church of Nicetown, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your dearly beloved loved one and our faithful Sister in Christ, Yvonne Lucas.

As a long-standing member, she was a loving, kind, and wonderful woman of God!!! She loved her family and served the Lord faithfully by singing with our Nazarene Church Chorus for many years!! She will be greatly missed but the moment that she closed her eyes in death, she woke up, safe and secure, in the arms of and in the presence of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8)

She is now at rest and at peace with Almighty God! She fought a good fight, she kept the faith, she finished her course and now she has gone to reap her reward!! And we say well done, thou good and faithful servant.

To Lauren, her granddaughter, and the entire Family, the Psalmist said in Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.” We are in passionate, persistent prevailing prayer and fasting for you, that the Lord would comfort and wrap His loving arms around all of you as you grieve in your hour of sorrow!

We ask the Lord to bless you with His inexplicable love and inexhaustible grace as He heals your pain and soothes your soul. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near the brokenhearted and He saves those crushed in spirit!” May He hold you in the hollow of His mighty hand and keep you in His tender loving care in the moments, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years to come!! In Jesus' Name!

Love In Christ,

K. Marshall Williams, Sr.
