Condolences to the Family of James Rhone

May 3, 2023: TO THE FAMILY of JAMES ELIJAH RHONE, Chairman, Emeritus of the Trustees Ministry We the Pastor, Ministers, Officers and Members of the Nazarene Baptist Church of Nicetown, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dearly beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Relative and our Co-Laborer in Christ, JAMES E. RHONE!!! Brother RHONE was an awesome Man of God!! He loved the Lord, his Family and the Flock of God at Nazarene!! He was loving, kind and dedicated servant of the Lord!! He faithfully served as Chairman of our Trustees Ministry for over 20 plus years, Chairman of the Department of Christian Education, Capital Expansion Building Ministry, President of the Nazarene Community Development Corporation, President of the PA Congress of Christian Education, National Federation of Bible Classes, Nazarene Center/ Camping Ministry and Sr Ushers, Scholarship Committee, Citywide Trustees and much more!!! He also served for years, as an outstanding Vice-Principal and taught Industrial Arts at Cooke Middle School in Philadelphia. He was honored with a multiplicity of honors and awards!!! Brother Rhone was a right arm to me especially during the construction of our New Church Edifice in 1996!!! He was a peacemaker and a stabilizing rock in our Church!!! He will be greatly missed but the moment that he closed his eyes in death, he woke up, safe and secure, in the arms of and in the presence of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) He is now at rest and at peace with Almighty God!!! He fought a good fight, he kept the faith, he finished his course and now he has gone to reap his reward!! And we say well done, thou good and faithful servant!! o The Sister NAN and the RHONE FAMILY, the Psalmist said in Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning!” We are in passionate and persistent prayer for you, that the Lord would comfort and wrap His loving arms around all of you, as you grieve, in your hour of sorrow! We ask the Lord to bless you with His inexplicable love and inexhaustible grace as He heals your hearts!!!

May He hold you in the hollow of His mighty hand and keep you in His tender loving care in the moments, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to come!! In Jesus Name! Love In Christ, K.
