Condolences to the Family of Edith Sturgis

November 28, 2022:

We the Pastor, Ministers, Officers and Members of the Nazarene Baptist Church of Nicetown, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dearly beloved Sister, and our Co-Laborer in Christ, Sister Edith Sturgis.

We know that she was a wonderful woman of God who loved her Lord, her Family and the Flock of God at Nazarene!! She was a faithful long time member as she gave of her time, talent and treasure. She was a loving and dutiful Senior Usher!!

Sister Sturgis will be greatly missed but the moment that she closed her eyes in death, she woke up, safe and secure, in the arms of and in the presence of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) She is now at rest and at peace with Almighty God!!!

She fought a good fight, she kept the faith, she finished her course and now she has gone to reap her reward!! And we say well done, thou good and faithful servant!!

To The STURGIS FAMILY, the Psalmist said in Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning!”

We are in passionate and persistent prayer for you, that the Lord would comfort and wrap His loving arms around all of you as you grieve, in your hour of sorrow!

We ask the Lord to bless you with His inexplicable love and inexhaustible grace as He heals your hearts!!!

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near the broken hearted and He saves those crushed in spirit!” May He hold you in the hollow of His mighty hand and keep you in His tender loving care in the moments, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to come!! In Jesus Name!

Love In Christ,

K. Marshall Williams Sr., Senior Pastor
